BASIC FOOTWORK IS THE KEY!!
Basic Footwork is the foundation.
Humans are ground based creatures, meaning we don’t fly. That’s one reason why we stress footwork with our athletes.
Whether it’s a 6am session or a 4:30pm session, we begin the training with footwork drills. It’s a great way to fire up the nervous system and get the body going.
The video depicts athletes working with the SKLZ hex agility trainer. We keep it simple and basic: quick steps forward and lateral.
During these drills we emphasize the basics:
*Forefoot/power pad landings
*Body positioning
*Balance & Control
