Mindset is everything: what you think you become.
I feel personally that I have been such a visualizer over the years in my own life, seeing and picturing expected outcomes. The movie house of my mind played out images, especially when it came to sports. Seeing my sports heroes perform acts of athleticism, and then SEEING myself mentally mimicking those actions played so much into my mindset over the years.
I felt that if I SAW IT, I could become it or DO IT. As I became older and more educated I would begin to realize that things like visualization and having positive mental imagery were part of my mindset. And I began to see that mindset was everything: what we think, we become.
MIndset can be the determining factor between a successful outcome, or if we are going to give up short of a goal. It will determine if we are going to launch into a tough training session feeling like we can can crush it, or if we will approach it as some enormous mountain that is impossible to climb.
Our first Pillar at Alpha is MINDSET. You can be the most physically gifted athlete, have all of the right training and gear, but you wont get anywhere without the proper MINDSET. MINDSET is the key for the ignition to action. It’s the spark to the flame of attempting a task and competing it to a successful outcome.
Everything starts with the mind, and you have absolute control over what you choose to focus on, and your MINDSET is yours to own.
