1️⃣ How many miles do you run per week in preparation for half marathon competition?

“I usually do cycles of 3 weeks up (85-95 miles per week) and 1 week down (70 miles per week).”

2️⃣ How has strength Training benefitted you distance running?

“In soooooo many ways. I love being more than just a runner - strength training puts more power behind my stride and keeps me from getting injured.”

3️⃣ What Strength exercise do you find the most beneficial?

“I love me a good, heavy squat.”

4️⃣ You have been running for YEARS. Where does this DRIVE to compete in these races come from?

“I know that I still have faster times left in me. I have some pretty big time/race goals coming up and those are what keep me going on days I don’t necessarily want to get in that last rep. Those goals and the fact that I still genuinely love to run.”

5️⃣ Do you have any pre-race rituals that you engage in?

“Pre-race rituals usually include pre-race pizza the night before and a new kit to race in.”
