Alpha Move of the Week: Med Ball Slam+Med Ball Vertical Jump Throw

This move combines the Med Ball Slam and the Med Ball Vertical Jump Throw.

The exercise is performed by initiating a slam action on the ground, then dropping the hips low, and picking up the ball, then squatting and jumping---essentially thrusting---the ball into the air.

Your body goes through the action of the slam downward then the sudden transition to a vertical power movement.

A couple of points to remember:

  • Keep your feet balanced and 'squared' throughout the set

  • Chest up, hips low and drive up before the slam

  • Engage your core throughout, but don't hold your breathe!
