Weight Lifting on the Vertimax can add a unique twist

The Vertimax platform is an innovative training device, with potential to be used for more then just vertical jumps, shuffling and speed. We have used it at Alpha in weight training sessions for great results.

In the video, notice how the athlete is connected on the platform at his hips, while performing a barbell movement.

By tethering his hips, we are able to provide him with resistance to his torso as he goes through the barbell movement. In this way we can add resistance to a key area (his hips) while he performance a resisted strength movement.
